N5 Entrepreneurship SECTION FOUR

I usually find I have to spend much of the time I have planned for a project in locating the right tools and materials to do the job.

When I try to involve others in a project, I usually meet with resistance, conflicting schedules and lack of support.

When I have a project to do, I take a sizeable amount of time and attack it with gusto.

My day’s activities are often interrupted by commitments I have forgotten or by unanticipated time demands from others.

1 2 3 4 5 I plan ahead and organize necessary tools and materials in advance so that I can spend allocated time directly on a project.

1 2 3 4 5 I communicate with others in advance when I need their help with a project and I involve them directly in the planning and scheduling process.

1 2 3 4 5 When I have a project to do, I analyze it and break it down into component parts, setting aside several smaller time blocks for necessary planning and preparation.

1 2 3 4 5 I practice personal planning on a regular basis and involve my family and/or business associates in weekly planning to coordinate schedules and goals.

Section Four Total: SECTION FIVE

I frequently have to apologize for being a little late or missing appointments.

I often disappoint friends or family members by failing to keep an appointment or fulfill a commitment to them.

I frequently excuse myself for not fulfilling a commitment I have made to myself or achieving a personal goal.

I frequently make more commitments than I can really handle well.

Section Five Total: SECTION SIX

I consistently plan to do more than I actually get done, and I feel like I’m always behind.

I frequently underestimate how long things will take.

I often work frantically up to the last minute to complete a project and feel disappointed in the quality of the results.

I tend to view projects, goals and challenges as huge mountains that have to be climbed.

Section Six Total: 26

1 2 3 4 5 I am generally able to accomplish what I plan to do within the time and resources allocated, and to mentally and emotionally “let go” of other things.

1 2 3 4 5 My estimate of how long projects and appointments will take is usually realistic.

1 2 3 4 5 I tend to work on projects at an organized, steady pace and complete quality work on schedule.

1 2 3 4 5 I perceive projects, goals and challenges in terms of small component parts to be accomplished one at a time.

1 2 3 4 5 I am punctual and consistent in keeping appointments with others.

1 2 3 4 5 A commitment to a friend or member of my family receives the same priority as a commitment to a business associate or other acquaintance.

1 2 3 4 5 I honor commitments of time and resources to myself as well as to others.

1 2 3 4 5 I limit my commitments to those I am relatively certain I can handle.
